Electro Neurostere
Electro Neurostere produces electrical impulses that relieves pain. It also accelerates the reunion of fracture. The electrical impulses work to stimulate bone growth, in that it appears to trigger certain chemical process that normally take place during bone development. This instrument is tested at many centres in India and found to be eminently useful in relieving pain.

Pain is often produced due to (1) incordination of muscle fibres (2) accumulation of toxins like lactic acid in the tissues and (3) when blood flow to a certain area is reduced.
The muscle is contracted when one electrical impulse is given and relaxed during the interval between two impulses. Thus the muscle is completely stimulated so as to re-arrage the muscle fibres in their proper order.
By passing electrical impulses we are passing electric charges which in turn ionize the toxins like lactic acid and remove them.
When one electrical impulse is being passed there is contraction of the tissues in that area. Then in the interval between two impulses there is relaxation and a region of reduced pressure is produced in these tissues. Thus the blood from the adjacent tissues will flow into them. This process is repeated and the blood flow in that area is accelerated reducing the pain.
We have three model of this instrument.

2. 16821. TE .............COMPACT (clinical model)
3. 16822. TE .............PROFESSIONAL (hospital model)
16823. TE
Is the simplest of the three models and a patient can safely use this by himself. It works on two dry cells (Input 3V. D.C.). At the output pulses from 1 in 2 sec. To 50 per sec is produced. There is a control marked "PULSE" to vary the pulse rate. A control marked "INTENSITY" regards the intensity as required by the patient. An L.E.D. indicator flickering at the same rate as electrical impulses helps to determine the rate of impulses given out.
16821. TE
This is the clinical model and is similar to 16823. TE. It works on three dry cells (4.5 V.D.C.) the intensity and the pulse rate can be separately controlled in this instrument. The intensity can control in this Instrument. The intensity can be controlled in this to a greater range to the required high value. There ate two indicators in this: a flickering L.E.D. flickering at the same rate as the rate of impulse and an audio producing a beeping sound corresponding to the rate of electrical impulses.
16822. TE
this is professional model meant for hospitals. To this addition to the above controls, there is a control for the diration of each electric pulse. Smooth electrical pulses the rate, intensity and duration of which can be controlled to a great range. This works on special 1. Cs and makes it professional.

In addition to the above there is a device in this known as the sensor for the sensitivity test. This is to locate the spots of maximum intensity of pain. It is based on the fact that the skin resistance varies considerably with pain.
MICRO PULSE GENERATOR : MODEL - 16817 TE
This is a monopolar wave generator which is used for needle to plate stimulation. In this case needle electrode alone is effective for stimulation. Here the needle electrode alone is effective for stimulation. Here the needle is connected to the negative terminal of the stimulator output and the plate of a cylindrical rod is connected to the positive terminal. This produce electrical pulses or current in a few micro ampere which build up negative ions at the focus pain. This causes relief and cure of pain. The current varies from 100 micro 25 ampere to 2 milli ampere and voltage from 5 V to 40 Volts. This equipment is also provided with a scanner. The scanner is similar to the point detector in the acupuncture. Here the painful points can be sensed using the scanner by the property to their low electrical resistance. When the point is touched the instrument produces a shrill sound and the Galvanometer provide in the machine shows maximum deflection indication the low skin resistance.
GALVANIC / FARADIC STIMULATOR: MODEL - 16819 TE
It has been found that muscles which are in a state of fatigue become considerably strengthened after treatment with a galvanic current. Hence a galvanic stimulator is highly useful on physiotherapy.
The application of faradic current causes contraction and relaxation of muscle and it is recommended for paralyzed muscles or muscles damaged by diseases.
Here is also provision in this instrument for surging the faradic and galvanic wave forms.
There are various causes for paralysis - the nerve cells lose their functions and cannot generate impulses, or the transmission channel is broken and stops sending the impulses. To the muscles themselves have some trouble moving and so on. In this former two cases, since the muscles, themselves are capable movement, we can send low frequency electric waves into the body, which mechanism is similar to that of the impulse racing through the nerves getting them excited enough to generate the impulses needed to move the muscles. This is the treatment method for paralysis using a low frequency electro-stimulator for rehabilitation on hospitals or at home. It is said that this treatment is performed by applying the electro-physiology of the nerves and muscles directly.
TENS
Tens or Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulator is another instrument used in physiotherapy and also in releving acute and chronic pain. A general medical practitioner can use it to the best advantage of his patients in relieving pain. It can be used in the place of Acupuncture for pediatric patients and for those who are very sensitive to needles. It is highly useful for sprains, cervical spondylosis, pulled muscles, post fracture pain, acute lumbago. Chronic back ache, trigiminak neuralgia, spasms, head aches etc.
There are three models of the instrument.
1. Tens Major : Model - 16824 TEThis is the hospital model and is provided with the Pain scaner. The Area of maximum pain can be located using the scaner and then the treatment for pain can be given. This works on 4.5 V DC and is ideal for hospitals.
2. Tens Compact: Model - 16825 TEThis is a compact machine highly useful in clinics. It is very light in weight and is portable. This also work on 4.5 battery.
3. Tens Minor : - 16826 TEThis is very small in size and weight and works on 3V battery. It is meant for the patients own use on the recommendation of a medical practitioner.
ACUPUNCTURE ELECTRO STIMULATOR
Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing art based on Scientific Physiological and Philosophical theories. It is a complete and scientific system of Medicine, whereby many diseases intractable to orthodox treatment can be cured completely.
According to the latest survey, most people who go to Acupuncture specialists are Medical rejects. Yet over 88 percent of these complicated patients improve.
The majority of the so called incurable and chronic diseases can successfully be treated by Acupuncture without any bad effects. This is a science, as a result of constant history of this method for more than two thousand years. By this system it is possible to treat and cure diseases like Asthma, Blood Pressure, Neurological diseases, Chronic Ulceature, Colitis, Infertility, Bone diseases, diabetes, Mental diseases etc, and all the painful disorders. There are different wave forms namely Saw tooth, Adjustable and Dense disperse are provided.
All the models are provided with a frequency control to adjust the frequency from 0 to 300 impulses per minute(Low frequency A/c), for theraputic purposes. It is also possible to give higher frequency control to adjust the frequency upto 100 Hz., used only for Acupuncture anesthesia. In all the models the output voltage(intensity) can be smoothly adjusted from 2 volts to 25 volts at a current from 0.2 to 4m per needle.
POINT DETECTOR
Acupuncture points are points with low electrical resistance. Some of these points become more tender due to on internal disease (eg: Alarm points and ah-shi points). While giving acupuncture treatment these points shouldn't be left untreated. These points can be detected with the help of point detector which produce shrill sound when as-shi points are touched. This is also useful ion locating ear points.
There are different models of stimulators as listed below.
1. Model - 36824 TE:This is a 12 channel machine with 12 independent intensity controls. This is also provided with a point detector. 24 needles can be stimulated at a time so that with one machine it is possible to treat two or three patients simultaneously.
2. Model - 36823 TE:This is an 8 channel machine with 8 independent intensity control attached with point detector.
3. Model - 36822 TEThis is an 8 channel machine with 8 independent controls.
4. Model - 36821 TEThis is an 4 channel Acupuncture stimulator with 4 independent intensity controls and point detector.
5. Model - 36821 TEThis is an 2 channel stimulator with 2 intensity controls.
6. Model - 36819 TEThis a 6 channel machine with 3 intensity controls.
7. Model - 36818 TEThis is a 4 channel stimulator with 2 intensity controls.
